My Story
Jenny Kim-Kosowski, D.O., is a board-certified Psychiatrist who completed both the Psychiatry Residency and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. During her training, she treated a diverse population of patients in New Jersey in different settings including crisis centers, hospitals, inpatient units, outpatient offices, and schools. After graduating from her Fellowship program in 2019, she has worked in private practice in New Jersey. Dr. Kim-Kosowski takes a comprehensive approach in psychiatric care through encouraging lifestyle changes, addressing psychosocial stressors, and considering individual needs. She also believes in the importance of treating a person as a whole which was the primary focus of her medical school education. From her training in Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatry, she gained a perspective of understanding the patient’s life across different developmental stages throughout childhood. Her special interests in treatment include attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, behavioral disorders, mood disorders, and anxiety disorders. She provides both psychotherapy and medication management that are tailored for individual needs. She also has a special interest in assisting patients with difficulty adjusting to different cultures and is comfortable providing psychiatric care in both English and Korean. Dr. Kim-Kosowski is a member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
